Collins Aerospace, a business unit of Raytheon Technologies Corp., announced it will be acquiring FlightAware to enhance its digital offerings. FlightAware is a digital aviation company with the world’s largest flight tracking and data platform. The Company provides over 10,000 aircraft operators and service providers with flight tracking solutions, predictive technology, analytics, and decision making tools.
This deal helps Collins Aerospace expand into the data-based service and analytics that are becoming more in demand. Collins will integrate the FlightAware into its existing business in order to provide additional value to its current customers. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
