11/10/2021: Digi International Acquires Secure-Network Manager

In an article written by Carter Jones, titled, “Digi International acquires secure-network manager for $347.4 million,” the author dives into the recent acquisition of Ventus Holdings by Digi International. For background, Digi International is a publicly traded (NasdaqGS: DGII) technology hardware, equipment manufacturer and developer. Digi is based in Hopkins, MN, and has approximately 700 employees across the US and internationally. Ventus Holdings offers enterprise network and information technology solutions, providing virtual networks related to ATMs, casinos, cash registers and digital signage.  

Ventus was acquired for $347.4 million in an all-cash deal, valuing the company at roughly 8.0x annualized recurring revenue. The acquisition is the largest in Digi’s history, and is aimed at bolstering the Company’s software and subscription service plans.
